Stage Two: One on One Coaching
Personal Coach – On-Camera Role Playing Sessions
The Personal Coach program picks up where classroom sessions leave off. The program requires two one-hour coaching sessions with each individual. These sessions can also be conducted with groups of managers who are comfortable working with each other in an environment where vulnerability is required and learning is the focus.
Through on-camera role playing, with an experienced coach, each participant has the opportunity to practice communicating important messages to challenging employees. The employee is played by the coach. The participant and coach then review the performance, prepare changes and repeat the process. The Personal Coach program is designed to help participants “see and hear” what they are doing in terms of verbal, vocal and non-verbal performance, and quickly make improvements. The program also serves to point out and reinforce things the management professional is already doing well.
The program includes these steps:
A. Group Preparation Assignments
B. On-Camera Role Playing
C. Performance Review
D. Performance Critique
E. Performance Improvement
F. Follow Up Report
